THE TRUE ART ABOUT HAND THERAPY
Hand Therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper extremities
of the human body. It is the specialty that has developed through the merging of
Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) theory and practice,
that combines comprehensive knowledge of the upper extremity body function.
Hand Therapy helps promote the restoration of function and enhances
a person's involvement in activities of daily living.

Carlos A. Martins, M.S. OTR /L CHT
has a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy
and is a Certified Hand Therapist.
He has performed OT
(Occupational Therapy) in hospitals
(acute care and rehabilitation),
private practice and out patient facilities..

Carlos actively participates in
extensive continuing education,
keeping apprised of the newest
treatment and evaluation techniques
for Occupational Therapy.
He maintains excellent relationships
with all referring physicians.
